Premiere: Acid Twilight, “Deep Focus”

Buenos Aires desert shaman Acid Twilight is back a year after their self-titled debut with Mustang Zodiac, a collection Not Not Fun describes as “mantric ceremonies of keys and shakers, insects and wind, played outdoors under cryptic constellations.” Both tapes are classic “slow burns,” with lysergic ragas propelling an oasis caravan across the horizon to a destination unknown. Mustang Zodiac is a near hour-length presentation of the previously mentioned characteristics, with Acid T conjuring a mood both intimate and expansive in its vision. “Deep Focus” is the latest preview of of the tape ahead of its June 3 release. As the title implies, the track features a looping synth line, percussion, and a hazy, hypnotic vibe that gently pulls you in with its calming effects.

Mustang Zodiac is out June 3 via Not Not Fun. Get lost in Acid Twilight’s deeply compelling sonic aura via “Deep Focus,” streaming below.
